I know a lot of browsers have been added since browsers.evolt.org went live, but I realized that you wouldn't know this unless you read thelist or talked to Adrian or went through the list. So...how about a "what's new" page? It could be pretty simple, ie:

8-28-99: Added Netbrowser's ReallyKoolBrowser 1.0 (Mac version)

8-22-99: Added CoolSoftware's Browser4Dummies beta version (PC and Mac).

Huh. Wish I had thought of that over the last week. I'll see what I can do, but I'm not gonna get them all.

Let me expand on Emily's suggestion a bit. As well as a "What's New?" section, evolt needs a "What's This?" section. The archive has a fantastic collection of browsers, half of which I've never heard of. Before I download any, I'd like to find out more about them. Most software sites jump to a thumbnail description screen for the product that lists purpose, key features, hardware requirements, and author, usually with a link to the product or author's home page, and you download from there after deciding that yes, you can use it. If evolt could do likewise, it would be a boon to the browser community. (I know it's a lot of work, and I don't expect it to happen right away. I _do_ think it's a desireable long term goal for the site.) ______ Dennis
