IBM has announced that it will be offering a free beta of an unnamed server in coming weeks, and will deliver a complete product in March next year. The transcoding server will run as a proxy to deliver information from a single source to multiple devices such as PDAs, phones with browsing capabilities, consumer products, etc. With such devices looking to be very popular in the future, an easier method of outputting information to them should prove useful.
