TheStandard.com is reporting that Palestinians now have their own top-level domain: .ps, after help from Ghassan Z. Qadah (senior adviser for technical affairs to the Palestinian Authority), and with the assistance of the United Nations, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, and the International Standards Organization. You can read TheStandard.com's article here. No information was given on how, or if, people will be able to register .ps domains.

The European Commission is also pressing for .eu to give an international TLD domain that's not .com. More cash for the registries IMO. Thing is, when are we going to get a Scottish one...

And now that we have a .eu

And now that we have a .eu we can say for sure that something like this will more than likely not happen again. Only ccTLDs should be issued to countries. No more general first come first served TLDs. The .eu fiasco was a typical example of how NOT to do it. Dave Davis
