Java Standardization Process
ECMA (European Computer Manufacters Association) members, including Microsoft and Intel, voted overwhelmingly in favour of forming a technical committee to standardize Java. As a result, the ISO (International Organization for Standards) could put Java on the fast-track to approval for within the year.
