Nyc C Net Senior Developer

Solid financial services client in midtown Manhattan is seeking a senior developer for their Web Services Group.

This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting web-based applications that constitute the corporate intranet portal. The candidate will also take a lead role in the migration of the Vignette based Intranet to the Microsoft .NET platform. As a lead developer within the group, the candidate will be expected to provide the technical architecture for .NET applications and provide development support to other team members. The candidate will need to interact with corporate operational groups.

This position requires a BS degree and a minimum five years professional experience developing distributed and web-based systems. Candidates should have strong relational database design/development and reporting skills, excellent objected oriented analysis and design skills, solid web development skills (HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, and XML) and excellent understanding of Microsoft .NET development technologies including C#, ASP.NET, and the .NET framework. Candidates must have excellent client interaction skills, extensive understanding of software development lifecycle processes and principles, experience with application end-users determining and documenting business requirements, excellent

Solid Microsoft Visio and Project skills, UML and Knowledge of Rational Unified Process would be positives.

Salary up to about $110K base

Client strongly prefers candidates located in the Metropolitan NYC area.
